MANILA, Philippines — Residents of Nueva Ecija and Zambales will experience a rainy afternoon Thursday as the state weather bureau said that these areas will have moderate to heavy rains.
In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 1 p.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over Nueva Ecija and Zambales within the next two hours.
Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rains are currently being experienced in parts of Tarlac (Gerona, Santalgnacia, Victoria and Pura), which may persist within two hours.
Residents in nearby areas are also advised to prepare for rains.
“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” the advisory read. /je
