Man held for robbery, extortion after ‘preying’ on boy, 16, in Bulacan
CITY OF MALOLOS — Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Wednesday arrested a 35-year-old man for robbery and extortion after allegedly victimizing a 16-year-old boy.
NBI Bulacan Director Noel Bocaling said the suspect, Lheovii Reyes of Sto. Nino Paombong town was caught in an entrapment operation inside a fast-food chain here.
According to Bocaling, Reyes pretended as a girl and befriended the victim through social media in 2016.
Bocaling said the victim had sent his nude photos to the suspect, who later blackmailed him by demanding cash and valuables.
Reyes threatened to spread the boy’s nude photos if the latter would not give in to his demands.
The boy and his parents sought the help of NBI, which immediately launched the entrapment operation against the suspect. /kga
