Pagasa: Wet, cloudy Wednesday expected

MANILA, Philippines – Parts of Northern and Central Luzon may experience scattered rains on Wednesday due to the southwest monsoon, the state weather bureau said.

In its daily forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Cagayan Valley, Zambales and Bataan will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

Pagasa said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

The state weather bureau likewise warned of possible flash floods and landslides in affected areas.

Meanwhile, the forecast wind speed in Luzon is moderate to strong, moving southwest to west while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Several local government units in the CAR have suspended Wednesday classes due to inclement weather.
