MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.1 quake hit Leyte on Tuesday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
Phivolcs said the quake, which was of tectonic origin, was recorded at 7:20 p.m. and was located 12 kilometers northeast of Ormoc City.
Intensity IV was reported in Ormoc City and Albuera town in Leyte.
Phivolcs said no aftershocks and damage are expected following the quake which had a depth of 5 kilometers.
