Meanwhile, budget carrier Cebu Pacific said it has not canceled any flights to and from Hong Kong on Tuesday.

“For today naman, wala naman kaming cancellations pa. At least for now, wala pang cancellation,” Cebu Pacific spokesperson Charo Logarta-Lagamon said in an interview on dzMM.

Logarta-Lagamon said 80 or 90 Manila-bound passengers are still in Hong Kong after their flight was canceled on Monday due to the protests.

“We are trying to put them on flights today,” Logarta-Lagamon said.

The airline also advised its passengers going to Hong Kong to put their travel plans on hold if it is not urgent to avoid any complications.

“We are encouraging our passengers na may flight mula ngayon hanggang August 15 na kung hindi naman po urgent at pwede namanipagpaliban ang pagbiyahe na i-postpone na lang muna.” /gsg
