Days of rain prompt cancellation of classes in Benguet, Mountain Province town

BAGUIO CITY —Days of intense rains have prompted Benguet Governor Melchor Diclas to suspend classes from pre-school to senior high school on Tuesday (Aug. 13), with rainfall measuring 207.8 millimeters from 8 a.m. on Monday (Aug. 12) to 8 a.m. this morning.

In the capital La Trinidad town, the Cordillera Career Development College (CCDC) cited the worsening weather condition when it also postponed classes in all levels.

Classes for pre-schools, elementary schools and junior and senior high schools, have also been cancelled in Baguio City and the Mountain Province town of Tadian.

Heavy rains and occasional thunderstorms have been experienced in Tadian.
