8 vehicles catch fire in Pasig City

MANILA, Philippines — Eight vehicles caught on fire at a parking area in Pasig City on Monday, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said. 

The BFP said that the fire, which broke out at 8:20 a.m. in R. Castillo, Barangay Kalawaan, engulfed six jitney units, one Montero SUV, and a motorcycle. 


The fire was declared under control at 8:30 a.m.

Firefighters have yet to determine the costs of damages and how the fire started, the BFP said. /je
