MMDA: No number coding scheme today, August 12

MANILA, Philippines – The number coding scheme on Monday, August 12, 2019 is lifted, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced.

Hence, vehicles with license plates ending in 1 and 2 will not be disallowed in Metro Manila streets.


“The Number Coding scheme is lifted for Monday, August 12, 2019. Thanks!” MMDA said over its official Twitter account.

President Rodrigo Duterte earlier declared August 12 as a regular holiday nationwide in observance of Eid’l Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice. /gsg
