MANILA, Philippines — Fifty-one million pesos worth of suspected shabu (crystal meth) was discovered by a fisherman along the coastal area of Northern Samar on Saturday afternoon, Police Regional Office (PRO) – 8 said Sunday.
According to a report from PRO-8 chief Brig. Gen Dionardo Carlos, the fisherman found the shabu in the coastal area of Sitio Pagul, Barangay Pio Del Pilar at around 2:35 p.m.
The fisherman, who requested anonymity, discovered that one of the transparent bags allegedly containing shabu was already opened.
The fisherman then turned over to police four sealed transparent bags containing shabu which weighed around 7.5 kilos. /je
