MANILA, Philippines — A group of drivers impressed and amused netizens online as they showed discipline and formed a “tricycle parade” while traversing a highway in Nueva Ecija.
Abigail Lagidnon shared a video on Wednesday of the tricycles traveling through Maharlika Highway in Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija in a perfect line, with no vehicle attempting to cut in.
“Ang cute, walang pasaway!” Lagidnon wrote on Facebook.
The netizen told INQUIRER.net that the tricycles were only following the newly implemented of the New Traffic Code of Cabanatuan City.
The traffic code, according to Lagidnon, was in line with President Rodrigo Duterte’s order to ban tricycles to travel through major roads, unless there is no alternative route.
“Umaliwalas din po ang daan dahil sa pag papatupad din na bawal mag park, mag baba at magsakay ng pasahero sa hindi tamang lugar,” Lagidnon told INQUIRER.net
The discipline the tricycle drivers showed made Lagidnon’s video go viral, with 1,400 likes and reactions and 3,354 shares, as of writing. /jpv
