DIGOS CITY –– Not all who enter a lodge want to take a nap.
Bredjet Arnaiz Lopez, 24, a cashier of Dew Drops Lodge, learned this lesson the hard way after an unidentified masked man entered the lodge at Purok Talisay in Barangay San Jose here just before midnight on August 6.
The man pulled a handgun and declared a heist.
Lopez, who reported the robbery to the police at 1 a.m. on August 7, said the robber took the lodge’s P15,000 cash earnings at gunpoint and left aboard a waiting Mio motorcycle driven by an accomplice.
Police Staff Sergeant Jonnel Fabroa of the Digos city police station said policemen went to the area to investigate.
They were told that the robbers headed towards Rizal Avenue in this city, aboard a motorcycle which had no plate number.
Lopez said the man who robbed the lodge was wearing a pair of black pants, a long-sleeved polo, a black cap and a mask which covered half his face.
