Magnitude 4.0 quake hits Davao Occidental town
MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude 4.0 earthquake struck Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental on Thursday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The quake struck at 3:53 a.m. 41 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos.
Phivolcs said the tremor was of tectonic origin, and had a 60-kilometer depth of focus.
No aftershocks and damage are expected, Phivolcs added. /gsg
