Negligent officials in ‘Sendong’ disaster to be held liable, says exec

MANILA, Philippines — Government officials, especially in the local level, are criminally liable if found guilty of reneging on their responsibilities to their constituents during the onslaught of Tropical Storm “Sendong” in Visayas and Mindanao over the weekend, lawyer Lucille Sering, vice chairperson of the Presidential Commission on Climate Change, told Radyo Inquirer 990AM Wednesday.
