#WalangPasok: 3 Camarines Sur towns suspend classes due to Hanna

Palace halts work in gov’t, classes in Metro Manila due to monsoon rains

LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines—The towns of Buhi, Tigaon, and Baao in Camarines Sur province suspended classes in public and private schools as Tropical Depression Hanna brought heavy rains over Bicol region.<


In Buhi town, Mayor Margarita Aguinillo suspended classes in communities near Buhi Lake as the town expects flash floods in the villages of Sta. Cruz, Ipil, Iraya, and Ibayugan.

Buhi also implemented the no sailing policy on Buhi Lake following Camarines Sur Miguel Luis Villafuerte’s issuance on Sunday.


In Tigaon town, Mayor Chiqui Fuentebella announced the suspension on Sunday evening.

In Baao, the municipal disaster risk reduction and management council announced the suspension in pre-school and elementary schools.
