CSC offices may cancel exams in view of bad weather

MANILA, Philippines — The Civil Service Commission (CSC) said its offices may have the discretion to suspend examinations in their respective areas in case of bad weather.

“The Commision has given instructions to regional offices that they are authorized to suspend based on the weather situation in coordination with OCD [Office of Civil Defense], RDRRMC [Regional Disaster Risk Reduction Management Councils] and Pagasa [Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration],” CSC Commissioner Aileen Lizada said in a message to reporters on Saturday.

CSC’s regional offices are scheduled to conduct the Career Service Examination, Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) for Professional and Subprofessional levels on Sunday (Aug. 4).

As of posting, here are the following CSC regional offices that will proceed with the exams on Sunday:

• Region I
• Region II
• National Capital Region
• Region VI
• Region VII
• Region IX
• Region X
• Region XI
• Region XII
