Floods submerge 6 Bataan towns

HERMOSA, Bataan — Six towns in Bataan were submerged in two to five feet of flood water following continuous heavy rains on Friday afternoon, local disaster officials said.

Flooding were reported in the low-lying villages of Almacen, Daungan and San Pedro in this town.

Also submerged in flood were the towns of Dinalupihan, Orani, Abucay, Orion and Morong.

As of 2 p.m, the flooded Olongapo-Gapan Road was still passable to light vehicles.

Employees of Bataan provincial capitol and some workers at the Freeport Area of Bataan in Mariveles town were advised to go home as early as 2 p.m. /lzb
