MANILA, Philippines – Work at the Sandiganbayan on Friday was suspended due to heavy rain caused by the southwest monsoon or “habagat.”
According to the anti-graft court’s Security and Sheriff Services Division, this was after the Supreme Court suspended work in Metro Manila. Employees were allowed to go home but scheduled hearings in the morning will be finished first.

According to the latest weather bulletin from Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), most parts of the country will experience rain brought by the “habagat” which was intensified by a storm in southern China.
The weather bureau is also monitoring a low pressure area on the east of the country, although it is not expected to make landfall even if it turns into a tropical depression. /muf
