MAN STABS SON-IN-LAW
A 25-YEAR-OLD man was stabbed by his father-in-law last Monday evening in sitio Alangasil, barangay Madridejos, Alegria, Cebu.
Melicio Lastimoso was stabbed in the chest. He was brought to a Cebu City hospital.
Police said Lastimoso was preparing dinner when his drunk father-in-law, Eutiquio Lobiano, arrived.
Police said the two men argued over a personal grudge that led to the stabbing.

BURGLARS STRIKE IN LILOAN
TWO money transfer outlets were burglarized hours apart last Monday in barangay Poblacion, Liloan town, north Cebu.
Police said P13,000 and a Samsung notebook worth P20,000 were stolen from MoneyGram.
The burglary was discovered at 10:30 a.m. last Monday by Noli Balinzona, the officer-in-charge of the firm.
Police said the lock of a mini-vault where the money was kept was already destroyed when Balinzona arrived.
The burglars entered the establishment by destroying the building’s roof.
The establishment didn’t have a security guard and a security camera, said PO2 Gabriel Pelago Jr., investigator of the Liloan police.
Three hours earlier, an outlet of LBC, which was about 25 meters from MoneyGram, was also found ransacked where a cellular phone was taken.
The roof of the building was destroyed, said police.

POLICE TO MONITOR LOOSE FIREARMS
GUN holders were asked to renew their expired gun license.
Senior Supt. Louie Oppus, deputy regional director for operation of Police Regional Office (PRO-7), said firearms with an expired license will be considered a loose firearm.
Supt. Rex Derilo, chief of Firearms Explosives Security Agencies and Advisory Supervisory Sections (FESAGSS), said they would conduct raids on gun holders with an expired license.
Fesagss records show 61,792 registered gun holders as of January and 66,629 as of October this year.
Among these, 21,309 were not renewed on January and 20,898 on October.
In Cebu City, there were 8,951 expired licenses as of January and 7,798 for October while Cebu province has the same number of expired licenses, reaching 4,252, on January and October.
