Duterte appoints ex-Nolcom chief to MWSS board of trustees
MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed a former military official as member of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) board of trustees.
Duterte appointed Emmanuel Salamat, former chief of the military’s Northern Luzon Command, on July 29. Salamat retired on July 15.
In a speech on June 17, the President said he would wanted Salamat to be the next MWSS administrator.

Former police general, Reynaldo Velasco, who is currently the MWSS administrator was also reappointed on July 29 as member of the MWSS board of trustees.
In a phone interview, Velasco said the MWSS board would meet on Wednesday, July 31, to elect Salamat as MWSS administrator.

Duterte has appointed Demonteverde as ad interim member of the Judicial and Bar Council, representing the Integrated Bar of the Philippines. He was appointed July 29. /muf
