MANILA, Philippines — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), along with the governments of Pasay and Parañaque, conducted clearing operations along Baclaran on Tuesday morning.
This was a day after the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) ordered local chief executives to remove obstructions from their cities’ roads within 60 days.

The clearing operations include removing illegal structures, vehicles, and activities, such as illegal vending, along the city’s roads.
During President Rodrigo Duterte’s fourth State of the Nation Address (Sona), he instructed for the government to “reclaim” all public roads being used for private purposes. /je
