DID YOU KNOW? 840 new HIV cases reported in April 2019

In April, there were 840 new human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) cases recorded nationwide, according to the Department of Health.

The figure was lower compared to the 924 cases recorded during the same month in 2018.

Of the new HIV cases in April this year, 189 deaths were reported. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
