7 youngsters, 4 of them minors, foiled in attempt to transport weed

BAGUIO CITY–Seven people were arrested at a bus terminal here on Sunday (July 28) after they were caught transporting nearly P3 million worth of marijuana.

Anti-narcotics agents recovered 27 bricks of dried marijuana leaves and two dried marijuana fruiting tops in tubular form from the suspects who came from Bontoc, Mountain Province.


Police identified the suspects as Ariston Antonio, Stacey Gerodiaz, Daniel Bagnas Villalubos, all 18 years old.

Also arrested during the operation were four minors.


Earlier, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Cordillera said it received information that a group of young tourists was transporting marijuana bricks.
