Mother holding wake for baby killed by wayward van in QC

MANILA, Philippines – A mother who was supervising the wake of her baby died after she was hit by a wayward van on Thursday afternoon in Quezon City.

Police identified the victim as Cheche Mira, 27, a resident of Barangay (village) Pinyahan.

The Quezon City Police District’s Traffic Sector 3 took into custody the driver of the Toyota Grandia, initially identified as Jimmy Alcazan, 56.

The accident happened around 3 p.m. along NIA Road in Barangay (village) Pinyahan.
