Metro Manila, parts of Luzon to have moderate to heavy rains on Thursday

MANILA, Philippines — Residents of Metro Manila and some parts of Luzon can expect moderate to heavy rains in their area on Thursday afternoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said. 

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 11:55 a.m., moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over Metro Manila, Bataan, Batangas and Rizal within the next two hours. 

Meanwhile, the said conditions are currently being experienced in Zambales (Masinloc, Palauig), Quezon province (Tayabas, Lucban, Mauban, Sariaya), Cavite (Silang, Tagaytay) and Laguna,  which may persist within two hours. 

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” the advisory read. /je
