MANILA, Philippines — “Ibalik niyo ko sa Ilocos!”

Neophyte Senator Imee Marcos said this in jest when asked how her first few days in the Senate session went.

“Ibalik niyo ko sa Ilocos! Hindi, joke lang. Naninibago po at nagbibiruan nga kami at sabi nga nung iba eh hindi pa sila makaget-over nung kampanya. Pero masaya naman,” Marcos told reporters in a weekly press forum at the Senate on Thursday.

“Hindi pa tapos yung aking opisina, ganun pa man eh nagtatrabaho na po kami. Nakapag-file  na rin ng ilang bills at tuloy-tuloy naman ang pagagawa ng iba’t-bang batas,” she further said.
