DID YOU KNOW: MMDA nabbed 26,654 litterbugs in 2018

According to the recent annual report of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, in 2018, a total of 26,654 litterbugs were apprehended, of which 7,648 paid administrative fines amounting to P3.86 million.

There were also 123 violators of the antilittering law that rendered community service while the rest were sent summonses or notices with cases later filed against them. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
