Duterte sings 'Ikaw,' 'Moon River' after Sona

MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte sang a song following his State of the Nation Address (Sona) Monday night.

The President performed the Filipino classic love song “Ikaw” and Henry Mancini’s “Moon River,” which was popularized by Audrey Hepburn in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” movie, with the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra at the House of Representatives after delivering his Sona.

This is not the first time that Duterte publicly performed the song “Ikaw.”

Duterte also invited to group to perform at the Palace.

“Can I invite you to my office? Maghanap lang ako ng…’ not so important — yung tayo-tayo lang. Dinner tapos maybe I’ll invite… makinig lang,” Duterte said.

At former President and Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s thanksgiving party, Duterte also performed the song in dedication of Arroyo and “all the beautiful women in this room.”

In 2018, Duterte also performed the song with other Cabinet members in a benefit concert in Pasay City.
