TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol –– At least 400 militants gathered here on Monday to hold a protest rally in time with President Duterte’s 4th State of the Nation Address.

Danilo Olayvar, secretary-general of the Hugpong sa mga Mag-uumang Bol-anon, said they wanted to voice out complaints against rice tariffication, harassment, and killing of farmers, Train Law, extrajudicial killings, Charter Change, human rights violations, labor contractualization, low wages, unemployment, and trade union repression.

They also showed their opposition against Duterte’s stance on sovereign rights in the West Philippine Sea.
