Isko Moreno applauds Pacman’s victory, cites boxer’s triumph over adversity
MANILA, Philippines – Manila Mayor Isko Moreno joined the country on Sunday in congratulating boxing champion Sen. Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao who defeated American Keith Thurman in their World Boxing Association unified welterweight title fight in Las Vegas.
Moreno said that Pacquiao is an example of someone who triumphed over poverty and adversity through hard work.
Moreno said that local government of Manila is one with the country in extending its congratulations to the “People’s Champ”.
