MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Human Rights on Saturday said heinous crimes committed against law enforcers have been “emboldened by the country’s growing culture of violence and impunity” following the killings of four policemen in Negros Oriental.

“To combat it, we call on the government to help ensure that due process be followed in identifying and bringing the perpetrators to account,” CHR spokesperson Attorney Jacqueline De Guia said in a statement.
