Road closures in Metro Manila due to repairs, reblocking set this weekend

MANILA, Philippines — From Friday night until early morning Monday, some roads in Metro Manila will be closed to traffic to give way to scheduled repairs and reblocking, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has announced.

In an advisory, MMDA said the following roads will be closed starting 11 p.m., July 19 up to 5 a.m., July 22:

Southbound

1. Edsa Roosevelt Ave. to Bansalangin St. (1st lane from sidewalk)

2. Katipunan Ave. after Quirino Memorial Medical Center (2nd lane from sidewalk)

3. Edsa Magallanes-Baclaran Bus Stop to Magallanes-Alabang Bus Stop (outer lane)

4. Edsa Eugenio Lopez – Sct. Borromeo (desilting and construction of manhole)

5. Quezon City along Edsa southbound between West Ave. and Philam Village (restoration and concreting works)

Eastbound

6. Quirino Highway Junji St. to Salvia St. (inner lane)

7. General Luis St. Oriental Tin to Pascual Road


Northbound and Southbound

8. C-5 Road in front of SM Aura northbound (4th lane from median)

Northbound

9. Regalado Ave. Mindanao Ave. Ext. to Quirino Highway (2nd lane from sidewalk)

10. Edsa before New York St. (1st lane from sidewalk)


Motorists have been advised to avoid the stated affected roads and use
alternative routes instead. /kga
