MANILA, Philippines – “Done deal”

This was how Manila Mayor Isko Moreno described on Thursday the offer of British Ambassador to the Philippines Daniel Pruce to extend technical services pertaining to urban planning during their recent meeting.

Moreno said that Pruce offered technical services on urban planning to the city of Manila and creating parks in a highly urbanized setting.

“Sabi niya nga, done deal daw eh. Parang peksman. Nagkamay na kami agad,” Moreno told reporters in an interview.

“I’m happy. These things are very expensive, and if the people of Manila will receive such assistance, eh napakalaking bagay para sa amin  (This means so much to the people of Manila),” he added.

Moreno also said that the city government would accept Ambassador Pruce’s offer, since British companies have expertise in the field of urban planning.

Pruce personally visited the office of Moreno on Wednesday afternoon.

The British Ambassador described Manila as having “so much history, so much beauty.” /gsg
