Magnitude 3.4 earthquake rocks Carrascal, Surigao del Sur
MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 3.4 earthquake rocked Carrascal, Surigao del Sur on Thursday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The quake struck at 12:27 p.m. at 2 kilometers southwest of Carrascal.
Phivolcs said the quake was of tectonic origin and had a two-kilometer depth of focus.
The tremor felt was an aftershock of the 5.5-magnitude earthquake that rocked the same area, Phivolcs said.

No aftershocks and damages were expected, Phivolcs added. /muf
