Former SexBomb Girls member, 2 others nabbed in Laguna drug sting
MANILA, Philippines — A former member of the all-female sing and dance group SexBomb Girls and two other drug suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Laguna, police said Wednesday.
Thirty-four-year-old Sheena Joana Uypico, an ex-SexBomb member; Melrose Uypico, 32; and Elmer Panaligan Señoreses, 40, were collared Tuesday evening with P40,000-worth of shabu, according to Laguna Police Provincial Director Col. Eleazar Matta.
A composite group of Laguna police, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Region 4A, and San Pablo City police station Drug Enforcement Team conducted the drug sting in Barangay San Nicolas, San Pablo City at 6:45 p.m. July 17, he added.
Police seized from the suspects the P40,000 worth of shabu as well as the P1,000-marked money, cellphone, a car allegedly being used to deliver the illegal drug, and cash amounting to P4,000.
The three suspects were taken to the Provincial Crime Laboratory Office at Camp Paciano Rizal, Santa Cruz, Laguna for examination as appropriate charges are being readied against them. /kga
