Alleged drug pusher slain in Lucena buy-bust
LUCENA CITY –– Police killed an alleged drug pusher in a buy-bust operation here Tuesday night, police said.
Michael Golvin, 30, was killed when he reportedly resisted arrest after he sold “shabu” (crystal meth) to an undercover policeman in Barangay Dalahican around 8:45 p.m., a report by Quezon police director Colonel Ramil Montilla said.
The undercover police officer was about to arrest Golvin when he struggled, pulled his improvised gun (sumpak) from his back and shot the policeman but missed his target, the report said. Then a fellow policeman fired at Golvin, who died on the spot.
Authorities recovered the suspect’s firearm and four plastic sachets containing about 2.30 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P1,850. Delfin T. Mallari Jr.
