MANILA, Philippines – Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla found a hilarious way to announce the suspension of classes for all levels in Cavite province on July 17 by using the famous “Daniela Mondragon” meme.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Remulla showed a photo of him, wearing a “salbabida (lifesaver),” while crossing a flash flood and begging for Dimples Romana’s “Kadenang Ginto” character not to leave.

“Daniela, Huwag! Dito ka na lang sa Cavite. Walang Pasok Bukas (July 17), para sa lahat,” a caption on the photo read.

Remulla also posted a formal announcement that classes will be canceled due to the forecast of Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

“It’s true. PAGASA forecast that there will be heavy rains from 3am to 11am in the entire province tomorrow, July 17’ 2019. Possible flash floods in the lowlands and landslides in the uplands. Stay home and be safe. This is for All LEVELS in Cavite,” Remulla said in another post.
