Classes in Marawi City suspended due to ‘Falcon’
ILIGAN CITY –– The city government of Marawi has suspended classes from elementary to high school levels on Tuesday morning, July 16.
This was upon the recommendation of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO).
Mayor Majul Gandamra said a CDRRMO assessment found the continuous heavy rains as posing a high risk to school children, especially from swelling rivers and flood.

However, government offices were still in operation except in areas submerged by floodwaters, Gandamra said in a text message.
There has been no report of damage, so far, Gandamra added.
