BREAK: Boy abducted in Manila
MANILA, Philippines – A boy was abducted on Tuesday morning along Taft Avenue in Ermita, Manila by a man riding a pick-up truck.
An initial police report said the boy was walking along Taft Avenue Avenue corner Padre Faura Street at around 9:30 a.m. when a Ford Ranger suddenly appeared near him.
Police said a man from the truck then forced the victim inside the vehicle and sped northbound along Taft Avenue.
According to police, the suspect even fired a gun once as the truck sped away.
It was not immediately clear how many persons were inside the vehicle, police said.
Meanwhile the Manila Police has launched a pursuit operation to locate the truck and the boy. /muf
