Taguig City gov’t employee, partner shot dead

MANILA, Philippines – A Taguig City Hall employee and his live-in partner were shot dead by two gunmen during a robbery incident at a clothing store in Barangay Upper Bicutan Monday night, police said on Tuesday.

The Taguig City police identified the victims as Marlo Landreza and his reported live-in partner, Girlie Gacer.

A police report stated that a concerned citizen informed the Taguig City Police Community Precinct 2 of a shooting incident at around 9:10 p.m. Monday at the store along Maharlika Road.

Police officers responded to the scene and spotted the lifeless and bloodied remains of the victims.

Police said the gunmen took from the victims a sling bag that reportedly contained an undetermined amount of cash.

An operation to track down and arrest the gunmen is now being conducted by the police. /gsg/muf
