/ 05:00 AM July 16, 2019

National Disaster Resilience Month is observed every July by virtue of Executive Order No. 29, signed on June 28, 2017.

Originally known as National Disaster Consciousness Month, it was renamed to shift from disaster awareness to building disaster resilience.

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council is the lead agency tasked to implement all programs under this order. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
