MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 3.5 earthquake shook Eastern Samar on Monday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
In its earthquake bulletin, Phivolcs reported that the temblor struck 23 kilometers northeast of Hernani, Eastern Samar at 5:11 a.m.
The quake of tectonic origin had a depth of 18 km.
Intensity I was felt in Borongan City.
Phivolcs said no damage or aftershocks could be expected from the earthquake.
