MANILA, Philippines — A low-pressure area (LPA) monitored off Visayas has entered the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Sunday afternoon, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
In its advisory, Pagasa said the LPA was located 980 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar as of 3:00 p.m Sunday, adding that the LPA might also develop into a tropical depression on or before Tuesday.
Pagasa added that Eastern Visayas and Mindanao would continue to have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and scattered thunderstorms.
The state weather bureau also advised the public to continue monitoring weather updates. /je /atm
