Culmination of the annual festival celebrating the history, arts and culture, and the founding anniversary of Mauban town, Quezon province.
The festival’s name came from Mauban and “bangog,” which means “in high spirits.”
Activities include a trade fair, LGBTQ night, beauty pageant and the celebration of Araw ng Mauban.
The town of Sogod in Cebu province pays homage to its patron, St. James the Apostle, to give thanks for the yearly blessings.
The festival’s name “Panagsogod” means thanksgiving in Cebuano. There will be sports events, farmers’ day, street dancing and novena Mass.
