MANILA, Philippines The University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT) 2020 will be held on October 5 to 6, the university’s official Facebook account, UP System Office of Admissions, said on Friday.
Here are the dates to remember for the 2020 UPCAT application:
-Start of the online application period for applicants will be on Tuesday, July 16.
– Submission of application to the university’s office of admissions will be from July 16 until August 23.
-Deadline for filing of applications are as follows:
- August 2, 2019 – Regional Public High School
- August 9, 2019 – Regional Private High School
- August 16, 2019 – Metro Manila Public High School
- August 23, 2019 – Metro Manila Private High School
“Application received after August 23, 2019 will be processed only if test permits are still available,” UP System also said on its Facebook account.
The announcement was also posted in UP Manila’s official Twitter page the same day.

Meanwhile, in a separate Facebook post, UP System Office of Admissions shared who are qualified to take the test.
The qualified UPCAT 2020 examinees are as follows:
- Senior High School student expecting to graduate before S.Y. 2020-2021 from a DepEd-accredited high school or an accredited secondary school abroad; OR
- Graduate of a DepEd-accredited high school or accredited secondary school abroad; AND
- Must have final grades for three (3) high school years preceding the year of graduation;
- Must not have taken any college subject/s prior to taking the UPCAT; AND
- Must not have taken the UPCAT before
UP also added the following important reminders:
- There is no minimum high school average grade requirement for taking the UPCAT.
- The UPCAT can be taken only once.
