MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine National Police (PNP) is now coordinating with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) in the probe of the alleged abduction of the agency’s officials, National Region Capital Police Office (NCRPO) chief Maj. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar said on Wednesday.
Kailangan pa ng magpursige ng imbestigasyon pa,” Eleazar said over local radio station dzMM.
Eleazar was referring to the allegation that at least 15 wealthy officials of the BIR have been victims of kidnapping since 2013.
The PNP on Monday said they are “seriously” looking into the allegation.
Eleazar also urged victims of the alleged kidnapping to file their complaints to aid the police investigation.
(Editor: Mike U. Frialde)
