MANILA, Philippines – The Luzon grid was placed under yellow alert anew on Wednesday, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) said.
In a Twitter post, the NGCP said the yellow alert status would be in effect for seven hours, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A yellow alert is raised when a power grid’s power reserve is below the required level, according to the NGCP.
The Luzon grid has an available capacity of 11,286 megawatts (MW) while its peak demand is at 10,698 MW, the NGCP said. (Editor: Gilbert S. Gaviola)
