July 8 to 15: Cordillera Month

Celebration of the creation of the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), which was established on July 15, 1987 through Executive Order No. 220 signed by then President Corazon Aquino.

This year’s festivities, with the theme “CAR@32: Building One Greater Cordillera,” kicks off with the passing of the symbolic unity gong in Tabuk City, capital of Kalinga province.

There will also be a tree-planting activity, cultural presentation, “State of the Region Address” and tapestry show.

July 12 to 18: T’nalak Festival

The city of Koronadal in South Cotabato province celebrates its 53rd founding anniversary, with the theme “Nurturing Our Culture, Sharing Our Best.”

Intricately woven textile of different patterns and colors, more known as T’nalak, is showcased in the weeklong festivities, including an agri fair, LGBTQ night, job fair, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority skills competition and grand parade.
