Narcs raid suspected drug den in heavily populated Tondo area

MANILA, Philippines-Anti-narcotics agents backed by police raided a suspected drug den in a heavily populated area in Tondo, Manila, arresting at least seven suspects and seizing some P100,000 worth of shabu, or crystal meth, on Friday (July 5).

In a report, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said the raiding team served a search warrant issued by Judge Cecilyn Burges-Villivert, of Regional Trial Court Branch 89 in Quezon City, on a suspected drug den on 3532 G. Santiago Street, Barrio Obrero in Tondo.

According to the PDEA, arrested were Nolito Conceprion, the suspected drug den operator, and suspected drug den employee Eric Aquino. Also arrested were drug den visitors Archer Secuya, Paul Prades, Elmer Preza, Philip Dacanay and Rogell Conzaga.

An alias Manoy, who was the subject of the search warrant, was still at large.

The raiding team seized at least 15 grams of shabu and drug paraphernalia. Those arrested were brought to the PDEA’s Special Enforcement Service for detention while awaiting charges. (Editor: Tony Bergonia)
