CITY OF MALOLOS—More than 50 villages in Bulacan province were submerged in flood water caused by heavy rains brought by Tropical Depression “Egay.”

Felicisima Mungcal, head of the Bulacan provincial disaster risk reduction management office, said Army trucks had been sent to Marilao town to fetch stranded commuters after some areas have been rendered impassable to light vehicles because of the flood.

The island villages in Pamarawan and Namayan and other villages in the City of Malolos were in nearly a meter of flood water.
