NAGA CITY–Two suspected members of New People’s Army (NPA) were killed in a clash with soldiers in Lupi town, Camarines Sur province on Monday (July 1).

According to Maj. Ricky Aguilar, the military’s 9th Infantry Division public affairs chief, soldiers were on patrol when they clashed with at least 20 NPA members at the village of San Vicente.

Aguilar said soldiers recovered the bodies of the slain rebels and seven assault rifles believed used by the rebels. STEPHANIE FLORIDA (Editor: Tony Bergonia)
